Ours is a story we never could have scripted. After years of unexpected turns, heartache, and the refining hand of God, we’ve each been on a journey of growth, healing, and surrender. Through it all, the Lord has been faithful to shape our hearts and prepare us for a love marked by grace, maturity, and peace.

We believe wholeheartedly that it was the Lord who brought Mark to Montrose from Columbia, Missouri—not just for a change of scenery, but for a divine appointment. Sandra certainly wasn’t looking to date anyone who lived far from Colorado Springs—but after Mark made the 4½-hour drive to take her to dinner (and then drove right back that same night), something felt unmistakably different. From that day forward, we were inseparable.

Together, we are blessed with a beautiful, blended family. Mark has two wonderful children: Chloe (17) and Dominick (15). Sandra is mom to Brittany (29), Brennan (27), Josh (25), and Braydan (20), son-in-law David (33), soon to be daughter- in-law Audrey (27), and proud “Mimi” to Maverick (4) and Shepherd (1).

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant—meant not just for our happiness, but to make us more like Christ. It’s not about completing each other, but about growing together in faith, character, and purpose. We’ve both experienced seasons that have shaped us deeply, and we know that God, in His perfect timing, brought us together for something greater than ourselves.

As we join our lives, we’re committed to growing in love, grace, and humility—allowing God to continue refining us and shaping our hearts. Together, we feel called to use the gifts, experiences, and passions He’s entrusted to us to serve others.

Our hope is that our home will reflect the love of Jesus—a place where faith is alive, others are seen and valued, and the goodness of God is always on display.
